#1[Garfield, the start for fat cat] 

영화로 먼저 만난 가필드. 이 뚱뚱한 고양이를 만들어낸 작가가 누구일지 궁금했는데, 과연 이번에 원서로 만날 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 상상했던 내용과는 조금 많이, 아니 너무 많이 달랐다. 정말 영화처럼 재미있는 모험을 하리라 생각했지만, 이 센스쟁이 고양이는 개와 함께 느닷없이 과거로 돌아가 한 마법사를 만나게 된다. 

The stroy start with the party about the middle age. Jon, who really like middle age enthusiased about the party, and he took Garfield and Odie to the party. He was to concentrated on the parades, so he couldn't watch the two pet making trouble. They were going around the party, and when they got into the water by accident, they found the another world. 

There were dragons, fairies, and a small cat, which want Garfield to help him recuing his master, the king. The another world was in trouble, that a wicked wizard appeared and shut king in the jail. The wizard wanted to dominate the world, but the trio solved all the problem by luck. Wizard disappeared himself by the mirror, and the two pet went back to their world by get into the water again. Well, maybe next series will quite funny, I think. 

#3[Garfield and the mysterious Mummy] 

This time, Garfield and Odie lost in the middle of museum. Their master, Jon took his pet to the museum, and when he tried to chased the running Odie, the security guard took him out of the museum. Now the two lost pets are traveling the museum. And they found was... the living Mummy. 

Well, they met Cleo and the security guard, Peter but they were caught by the strange mummy. And they found out the mummy was the curator of the museum. He was crazy at finding the treasure of Paraoh, so Garfield made a great idea. He made himself like an real Mummy, and put the curator into the coffin by frightning him. 

Maybe they were really scared, but they could save two lives and the treasure of Paraoh. Odie and Garfield's next advanture will be started!

#2[Garfield and the Teacher Creature] 

Garfield's advanture started again. This time, he went to a school to identify the teacher creature that appears at school. Garfield, and his friend, Odie went into the school to fight back the creature. 

There was a boy named Andy who was also curious about the teacher creature. He met with Garfield, and they acted together. But when they met the teacher creature, they were really surprised at the scary and horrible figure. He tried to catch the pets and the small boy. They had to run. 

Actually, the teacher creature was just a man to chase small boys out from the school. He also wanted to find out the secret of the school, but he also couldn't find the real teacher creature. Maybe it was a special advanture for Garfield and Odie. 

가필드의 모험은 항상 기괴함과 괴물들로 가득 차 있는 것 같다. 매번 끔찍한 형상의 괴물들을 만나고 가슴 졸이는 입장인데도 불구하고, 매번 모험을 떠나는 가필드가 대단한 것 같다.  

#4Garfield and the Beast in the Basement 

Maybe this would be the last advanture of Garfield. Garfield heard that several beasts live in the basement from rats living in basement. He was a hero who had to solve a lot of problems that people or animals have. He went into the basement with Odie again to fight  the monster back. 

Well, maybe I can say that Garfield was really afraid of that monster. The true substance of the beasts was... just racoons who lived there. They were small families, and Garfield tried to fight poor racoons back. 

However, Garfield solved this problem peacefully, too. Now, it is the end of the advanture with fat cat.

#5Garfield and the Santa Spy 

This time, Garfield went to save Santa. There was someone who kidnapped Santa, and Garfield and Odie went to the land where Santa lives to save him. Will they can save Santa and give punishment to the offender? 

Garfield and Odie met a horrible creature named Yeti. They thought the yeti would eat them up, but actually he was a vegeterian. He was really kind and quite gentle. So he went out to have two pets to find out Santa. 

The criminal was Nimgal, who took Garfield and Odie to the Santa Land. He just wanted not to work hard for Santa with small things, so he kidnapped him and tried to be the Santa instead of him. 

Only one advanture had left. Next time, Garfield would do something special, too.

워낙 그 역사가 길고, 땅도 넓어서 수많은 위인과 이야기들이 존재하는 중국대륙. 보면 볼수록 신비한 이 거대한 영토의 세계 속에서, 인물을 중심으로 풀어지는 중국사의 키워드를 통해 현대인의 모습을 재발견할 수 있다. 옛 사람들과 현대 사람들이 얼마나 닮았는지, 무슨 행동을 취했는지 알아보는 중국사가 재미있게 풀어진다. 

은, 주, 춘추천국, 진, 한, 위진남북조, 수, 당, 송, 원, 명, 청까지 중국의 역사는 이 대표적인 국가와 시대들로 나뉜다. 시작은 비밀에 휩싸인 은나라. 은나라가 중국에 물려준 것은 한자의 기원이 되는 갑골 문자이다. 점을 쳐서 얻은 그림을 토대로 만들어진 한자이니, 그렇게 특이한 모양들을 띄는 것이 당연하리라 생각한다. 

수많은 왕들이, 주지육림에 빠졌다는 이유만으로 한 나라의 운명이 비극으로 바뀐다는 사실이 잘 믿기지가 않는다. 그들은 아름다운 미녀에 빠져서 그들을 웃게 만들고, 그들을 즐겁게 하는 데에 정신이 팔려 정사를 돌보지 않고 국고를 마구 탕진해, 결국 다른 나라에 의해 정세가 바뀌는 상황을 맞게 된다. 웃음만으로 나라를 잃게 한 포사, 마치 한 마리의 악마와 같은 잔인함을 보였던 달기 등 남자를 현혹해서 수많은 위기를 맞게 한 그들이다. 오직 한 사람에 의해서 대한민국이 망하게 된다는 것은, 과연 어떤 기분일까? 

이 책에서는 외부 세력에 의한 횡포를 강조한다. 특히 외척의 경우에는, 오직 혼인만으로 맺어진 결약으로 간단히 높은 지위에 오른 이들이, 함부로 자기 사리사욕을 채우기 위해 덤비다가 사라지고, 그들의 삶의 투쟁은 나라를 깊게 흔들어 놓는다. 왕권이 강하면 왕의 선택이 곧 법이고, 그만큼 우유부단한  선택으로 함부로 국가의 중대한 일을 오랫동안 질질 끄는 경우가 없을 것이다. 

중국사를 통해 알아본 인간의 삶을 통해서, 현대인의 모습을 되돌아볼 기회를 가질 수 있었다. 어떤 역사책이라도, 과거 인간의 삶을 앎으로써 사람들의 삶의 모습을 예측할 수 있다.

108명의 호걸의 이야기

이문열 옮김, 신영우 그림, 시내암 원작 / 고릴라박스(비룡소) / 2010년 5월

이 소설에 대해 말하자면... 중국판 로빈후드라 할 수 있겠다. 로빈 후드는 범죄를 저지른 수많은 청년들이 모여, 셔우드 숲에 모여 온갖 모험들을 하면서 겪는 재미있는 이야기들을 그려낸 작품이다. 그리고 수호지는, 108명의 악한 귀신들이 풀려나면서 그들이 인간으로 다시 환생해, 비록 무예가 출중한 호걸들이나 나라에 의해서나 의협심에 의해 범죄를 저지르게 된 이들이 겪는 모험이다. 

아쉽게도 만화란 이유로 인해 1권에서는 단 세 명의 호걸(구문룡 사진이 의형제로 맺은 세 도적, 주무, 진달, 양춘은 108명에 들어가는지 아직 모른다.)의 이야기를 소개할 뿐이다. 하지만, 무예가 출중하고 약한 이들을 생각하는게 바로 이들이니, 역시 그들의 모험담을 읽으면서 뭉클함을 느꼈다. 

이들은 단지 범법자일 뿐이라고 하겠지만, 똑같이 사람을 죽이고도, 그 이유가 천차만별이니, 과연 그들을 단순히 나쁜 범죄자로 보아야하겠는가? 특히 표자두 임충은 미모가 빼어난 아내가 있었는데, 악한 관리 고구의 아들 고아내가 그의 아내에게 반하자, 고구는 임충을 죽여 아내를 빼앗을 계략을 세운다. 어찌 충직한 부하를, 단지 아들의 노릿개감으로 줄 여자 하나를 구해다주기 위해 그렇게 죽이려 한단 말인가? 역시 함부로 일을 저지르고, 막상 제대로 무언가를 할 줄은 모르는 소인배가 하는 일은 다른 것 같다. 

아무래도 다음 권이 나올때까지 기다리는 것은 무리인 것 같다 얼른 원작을 사서 읽어볼 생각에 가슴이 부풀어오른다. 빨리 호걸들의 모험담을 읽어볼 수 있기를 바란다.

탐구 보고서

[2006년 5월] 

과학탐구 주제: 액체에 따라 끓는 시간은 과연다를까?  

참가자: 어머니, 나(기타 준비자:4학년 3반 김성준) 

준비물:냄비3개, 우유50ml, 사이다50ml, 물50ml, 계량컵, (야외에서 할 시 가스레인지)
보고서 작성자: 오봉초 4학년 최 상철
 

같아야 할 조건-
액체의 양
불의 세기
끓이기 시작하는 시간

실험 계획 :

1.먼저 냄비 3개를 가스레인지 위에 놔둔다.
2.계량컵으로 액체양 50ml를 정확히 잰 후 냄비에 각각 붓는다.(계랑컵이 없어 약병으로 
  ml확인을 대신함)



3.시계를 이용하여 각 액체가 완전히 증발하는 시간을 전부 기록한다.
실험 진행: 시작하는 시간부터 시간을 재기로 하고, 냄비2개만 동시에 올려 끊여보았다.
               - 1. 사이다, 물 
                  2. 우유 

실험 결과 각 액체가 증발하는데 걸린 시간 및 변화 :

물-2분 49초
사이다-7분 50초
우유-3분 20초
사이다는 짜장처럼 갈색이 되었다가 검은색이 됨.
 



 
물은 거품이 부글 부글 하더니, 별 다른 변화 없음. 




우유는 굳어서 하얀 종이같은 것이 생김.
 





궁금한 점1.
사이다가 끓으면 그렇게 되는 이유는 무엇인가?
:사이다 안에는 갖은 향료와 설탕이 첨가되있으므로 설탕을 가열하면 검고 톡톡 튀기에 사이다도 비슷함. 

궁금한 점2.
사이다를 가열한 유리냄비가 찬물을 부었더니 깨졌다. 이유는?
: 안쪽과 바깥쪽의 팽창정도가 달리하기 때문에 깨집니다.
(이것은 전도 때문으로 숫가락을 넣었을시는 깨지지 않는다-유리컵 실험시 숟가락을 넣고 찬물을 부어보았음)  

궁금한 점3.
넓은 냄비 대신 좁은 컵은 물을 끊일 때 증발되는 시간의 차이는 얼마나 날까?
좁은 컵에 물을 50ml붓고, 끊는 점이 11분 10초 걸렸다.




 
결론: 실험도구를 비이커, 삼발이, 알코올램프등 동일한 조건을 갖춰 다시 실험해 보아야 한다.    
실험 후기-
학교 탐구 주제로 정한뒤 같은 조 성준이가 없이 실험 하여서 조금 아쉬웠지만, 액체가 조금씩 가열되는게 무척이나 신기했다. 특히 사이다는 제일 많이 톡톡튀고 변화가 많았던것 같다. 깨진 유리그릇을 치우느라 고생했지만 나름대로 재미있는 실험이였다.
