창문닦이 삼총사, 영어로 만나보다

어릴 적에 읽었었던 창문닦이 삼총사 이야기. 목이 마구마구 늘어나는 기린, 물을 담아서 마음대로 운반하는 펠리컨 펠리, 그리고 재주를 부리며 창문을 닦는 원숭이. 이 창문닦이 삼총사와 만난 빌리의 신나는 이야기가 참 인상적이었었다. 비록 짧은 단편이었으나 잠시나마 나에게 기쁨을 가져다 주었다. 그 이야기를 거의 잊고 있었는데 오늘 보니 다시 한번 떠올랐다.

Magic is very nice! Well, Giraffe can make her neck very long. And Pelly has a big mouth, he even move the people! And they are very special. Giraffe only eat pink and purple flowers, Pelly only eat salmon, and Monkey only eat walnut.

The luck was came when they cleaned Duke's window. When they cleaned the window, they saw a thief who stealing the expensive diamonds. So Pelly catched him, and made him can't use his pistol, and they catched the thief. So Duke gave them present, walnuts for monkey, salmon for Pelly, pink and purple flowers for Giraffe, and a sweet store for Billy! Stop, who is Billy? Well, I didn't know the hero of this book, and than, I found the hero's name was Billy.

Giraffe, Pelly, Monkey, and Billy. They are not cleaner trio, they are four! And I want to read the funny book like this! At next time, I will not forget Billy!

로알드 달의 10권 시리즈중 한 권인 챔피언 대니의 영어버젼. 마틸다, 찰리와 초콜릿 공장에 비해서 유명하지는 않지만, 그래도 무척 마음에 드는 책이었다. 대니는 조립식 집에서 사는, 주유소를 운영하는 아버지의 아들이었다. 아버지는 대니가 가장 좋아하는 인물이자 유일한 가족이자 최고의 친구였다. 자. 이번에는 기계를 다루는 소년 대니가 무슨 일을 할지 기대해 보자.

Danny's father is a poacher! Poacher is like a hunter, but not good hunter. Poacher hunt the preciousness animal. So we must catch their red-handed. But I don't want to catch Danny's father, because he is very kind and not a bad poacher. Well, In fact, poaching is a funny and exciting sports. When keeper walk away, we always afraid but when they go, it's very exciting. So that is why Danny's father is poaching.

I know Danny's father is a good person, but I don't like poaching. A lot of animals disappeared by hunting and poaching. We must stop that, but people don't know the precious of a rare variety.

I know it's not a story of poaching, it is about Danny's brave. Danny is very brave. An example, he can ride the car. It's not a easy cart, Car! Even grownups can't drive car well. But Danny do it! And he has a lot of idea, to. When he thought about the sleeping drug risins, Danny's father could catch the pheasants. Pheasants is a kind of ptarmigan.

Roald Dahl's book always funny. Even Danny's adventure was exciting, too! And I'm going to read Witch. I don't know that story is about, but I'm very waiting for it.

마틸다라는 한 소녀의 이야기

워낙 로알드 달의 책중에서는 신비주의적인 책만 보았던지라 오랜만에 이 마틸다라는 평범한 책을 만났다고 착각했다. 물론 마틸다는 그의 다른 책에 비해서는 평범하다고 할 수 있겠지만, 그래도 역시 다섯 살짜리 어린 소녀가 글을 완전히 익히고, 계산이란 계산은 마치 계산기처럼 모두 쉽게 해내고, 거기다가 가장 엄청난 점은 초능력이다. 자, 한번 눈을 감았다가 깊은 심호흡을 하고 떠보라. 당신의 눈 앞에는 작은 종이컵 하나가 책상위에 놓여 있다. 이제 머릿속으로 생각하자.

"종이컵아, 움직여! 움직이란 말이야!"

생각을 계속 하면서 종이컵이 움직이는가 관찰하라. 결과는 뻔하다. 하지만 마틸다는, 그 반대의 결과를 불러일으킨다. 상상초월의 그녀, 마틸다. 아직까지 한번도 만나보지 못했던 그녀를 오늘 한 번 만나보았다.

The supernatural. Matilda doesn't commoness girl. She has the supernatural. Her name is Matilda Wormwood. She is only five years old! Even grownups can't calculation the hard math. But Matilda can. I thought she was amazing. Mr.Wonka was thinkful, and Matilda is genius!

This story was made by movie, too. Sure I didn't saw that movie. But I want to see how Matilda did. I'm not good at english, so I can't imagine everything.

You know, sometimes there are hackneyed people in the world. They are like Mr.Wormwood, Miss Trunchbull. Mr.Wormwood is a cheater. Miss Trunchbull? She is more than Mr.Wormwood. She is too big, and more hackneyed than Wormwood. Even she is foolish, too! I didn't saw a person like her. I just can say she is special. No, sublimate.

Matilda. I saw the english book, and my next aim is watching at the movie, <Matilda>. My friends recommended at this book, too. I'm waiting for Matilda's special story!

이미 한글판으로 접해본 책이지만, 기억이 너무 오래되었던지라 이 책을 다시 한번 읽어보았다. 퀸틴 블레이크의 간단하고도 귀여운 그림체는 여전했다. 이제 어처구니없이 초콜릿 공장의 상속자가 되어버린 찰리는 또다시 엄청난 모험을 겪게 된다. 거대한 유리 엘리베이터라는 공간 속에 갖힌 찰리는 웡카와 함께 가족들을 모두 싣고서 우주 끝까지 날아간다. 자, 찰리는 또 다시 모험을 겪는다. 이번에는 무엇이 그를 기다리고 있을까?

At the Space Hotel, "U.S.A", Charlie saw a capsule, a lot of people, and the monsters. Monsters? What monsters? Well, they are very terrible. Their name is Knid, and they like egg and sometimes snake. They attack the planets and ruin. But why they can't come to the Earth? Good fortune, if they come to the earth, they burn. That means our Earth have air. So if they come to the Earth, they burn. Maybe in other planet, they don't burn.

Today I saw a fantastic invention. That is Wonka-Vite, and Vita-Wonk. They both change the age. Wonka-Vite can minus 20 years old. And Vita Wonk make you very old. But don't worry, if you too old, you can eat Wonka-Vite, and if you too young, you can eat Vita-Wonk, too. But I think it's too dangerous. Maybe people live for eternity lifetime. So there will be too many people, people must to go to other planet, and knids will attack them. It is the problem. Do you know? Many people wanted eternal life, but they couldn't accomplish that.

We both have dream. But don't use the dream for bad way. Bad way is like War, kill. It's true they are very bad. Wonka will be genious, but people can use this in bad way of course sure. However, people will can not make them. So Earth is peaceful! Only peace can make happy. Like if someone fight, it just make fault.

Well, Great Glass Elevator was fantastic. My dream is have a Great Glass Elevator. And I am very eager. In Roald Dahl's head, what is in his head? His thinking is too big. It's not abusive. I just respect at Roald Dahl!

The dream of chocolate!

찰리와 초콜렛 공장. 영화만으로도 3번은 보아서 내용을 거의 외우다시피 한 로알드 달의 베스트 셀러이다. 오래 전에 세상을 떠난 그는 어린이를 위하여 수십편의 이야기들을 썼는데, 마틸다, 찰리 이야기등이 그의 매우 유명한 이야기들이다. 그 외에도 수많은 단편선들이 그의 이름을 자랑한다. 운이 좋게도 이번에 로알드 달의 10권의 책들이 우리집으로 찾아오게 되었다. 가장 두꺼웠던 마틸다를 물리치고 집어든 책. 찰리와 초콜릿공장은 책으로 읽어본적이 없어서 한글로 읽지 못하니 영어로나마 읽어보게 되었다. 그리고 책속에서는 영화에서 볼 수 없었던 더 큰 특별함이 드러났다.

Do you want to know about this story? Well, this story is too famous what there aren't people who doesn't know about Charlie and Chocolate factory. But I am so sad, because my English name is Charlie, too. So sometimes my friends tease me. They always say in front of me, "Chocolate." but I am not care, because I like chocolate, too. And my dream is have a chocolate factory like Wonka's factory. Wonka is clever, no, he was fantastic and wonderful! Noone can make the chocolate like Wonka. I am waiting for read the next story of Charlie and the Glass Elevator.

I think I don't have a good idea like Willy Wonka, but I want to be like him. Many people thought he was sometimes crazy, but he was too fast. Noone can win at science. But Wonka did. Think is power. If you want to be a good person, study don't important. Think is the real power!

Einstein said just the head and good idea make a new. When I didn't know that, I just knew study is all. Wonka didn't study much, you know? Chocolate make doesn't need the knowledge. Just idea make the world. Charlie will has a good idea, like Wonka too. Everyone, don't praise at study harder, praise at thinkful person!
