이 책의 주인공, 요세프는 옌스라는 동생과, 단짝 이본, 절친한 동생 안나(얘는 그냥 친하지 '새들의 합창'에 안 다님), 또 나머지의 새들이 합창에 같이 다니는 아이들이 있어요.  요세핀은 초를 좋아해요.  그리고 다운증후군이죠.  안나는 요세핀에게 잘 대해 주죠.  아! 또 '새들의 합창'은 장애인들이 다니는 학교나 유치원 같은 곳이예요.  하지만 나중에 아파져서 일도 끊고, 그러다가 엄마가 밥 먹다가 데려다 준 방 안에서 떠나고 말죠...  요세핀을 좋아했던 옌스는 울었죠.  불쌍해라!  꼭 읽기~
