The installation 'Vacant NL' by Netherlands Architecture Institute and Rietveld Landscape highlights the potential use of temporary vacant government space by creative enterprises. Thousands of buildings are vacant in Netherlands; some of them for weeks, some for months, and many even for years. At Venice Architecture Biennale 2010, 'Vacant NL', a landscape of thousands of empty buildings, cut out of blue foam emphasized this by leaving the ground floor of the pavilion completely empty. When the visitors entered the empty ground floor they saw the models supported on wires overhead. Only by walking the stairs up to the mezzanine, the visitors discovered the cityscape made out of the blue foam.
These are the creation of footwear designer Kobi, who takes a unique approach to his designs and considers them as sculptures. For him shoes are his canvas, and he expresses his creativity by combining his idea or the concept with the footwear creating a new design what he calls a "wearable sculpture". Most of his ideas and inspirations are out of the "shoe-world" that gives the footwear an extreme transformation resulting in a humoristic unique point of view about footwear. All these footwear are handmade in his studio.
