■ 저자 소개

아베 프레보 데그질(Abbe Prevost d‘Exiles, 1697~1763)은 수도사, 군인, 저널리스트였습니다. 다양한 직업과 국가를 전전한 프레보는 보잘것없는 다작(多作)의 작가였지만, 어느 날 갑자기 《마농레스코 》를 써내며 문학사에 이름을 남겼습니다.
